Ngapuhi Festival
A great time was had by all the whanau that came down to the festival. It was hot not just the bands but the days as well. A big mihi to our kaiwaiata, runanga, iwi stations, kaimahi and the tamariki for providing a great two days of entertainment. Below is a photo of nga kaiwhakapaoho o te Taitama Tane, Tai Tama Wahine show having a korero live-to-air on Sunday with one of the members of Katchafire.
Katchafire finished off the weekend and had the crowd jahhminn. check out their offical bebo site.

Smashproof at birthday
Smashproof
Local boys back home supporting the kaupapa. Smashproof got the crowd up to kanikani. Taitamariki were also able to get autographs, keeping the fans happy. Ka mihi ki a koutou Smashproof.

After the blessing, the ope moved down to Ngapuhi marae for a powhiri.
As is customary there was a huge breakfast hakari, which was enjoyed by all.
Later on there was the cutting of the cake.

Getting a facelift
The lead up to the birthday and blessing of the up graded building saw a great flurry of activity within the small community of Mangamuka. It brought nga taitamariki, kuia and kaumatua together as well as interest from people travelling along State Highway 1.

Tautoko FM Turns 21 on 28 November 2009
Tautoko FM’s 21st birthday was on the 28 November 2009.
People on the ground in Mangamuka took part in the celebrations personally.
It all started at 7am with a blessing of the newly painted station, them manuhiri moved down to the Ngapuhi Marae for the powhiri and a breakfast hakari. At 10am stalls were opened and the concert began.
