WAITANGI 2010

Te Reo O Te Tai Tokerau is once again bringing you live coverage of Waitangi 2010.

It is the 70th anniversary of the taonga waka taua Nga Toki Matawhaorua of Pewhairangi which has been refurbished by tohunga Waka Builder and Navigator Heke-nuku-mai-nga-iwi Puhipi (Hector Busby).  Also returning to Waitangi after 70 years is Nga Toki Matawhaorua of Otaua. This too was refurbished by Hector Busby.

So tune in to find out what’s happening and to listen to all the korero

Ngapuhi Festival

A great time was had by all the whanau that came down to the festival.  It was hot not just the bands but the days as well.  A big mihi to our kaiwaiata, runanga, iwi stations, kaimahi and the tamariki for providing a great two days of entertainment.  Below is a photo of nga kaiwhakapaoho o te Taitama Tane, Tai Tama Wahine show having a korero live-to-air on Sunday with one of the members of Katchafire.

Katchafire finished off the weekend and had the crowd jahhminn.  check out their offical bebo site.

Hua Parakore show
